A Trip to Dumfries

Creative Factory got on the road last week and had a brilliant couple of days in Dumfries. Having heard about what was going on with The Stove Network, it was quite another thing to experience it. Matt Baker showed us around the newly renovated and refurbed buildings on the High Street. It was incredible, listening to everything they've accomplished through their Creative Placemaking, and the real transformational effect that is having on the town and its communities. It is a shining example of how culture informs regeneration. Delighted also to find out that their hard work has been recognised by DCMS and national government.
